The part of the video in which the girls come near Mehmet Can is really good. Mehmet makes a pronounciation mistake: "twenty". Thanks.

ReplyDeleteThe video is not boring so I liked it but sometimes friends' voices can hardly be heard. Additionally, one part of the video is too silent, none of the guys speaks. They can give some extra information about the benefits of the food in that time. Any of the guys speaks more than the others. It is a good feature of the video. Friends! Do not put the spoon into the food after you use it:))
The first group: 1st video(Ayşe, Gülhanım, Derya): It was generally a good video. I liked Gülhanım’s gestures.Yet, she could have given the intonation more in some sentences ,such as “ First, here are ingredients” etc.They ask questions,which is a good point. They make some pronounciation mistakes, such as “instead”, “about”, and, “against”.However, they use some imperative sentences that can be used in a food programme ,such as “add it”, “stir it”,which is another good point.In addition, they give the ingredients by using some key phrases ,such as “one cup of”, “one teaspoon”, “a bowl of” etc.Instead of using “reduce the gas”sentence, I think using “turn down the gas”sentence is better.Thank you!

There were imperative sentences, such as “add it”,”stir it”,which is a good point. While talking among yourselves, you could have used questions. “Recent” is pronounced wrongly. You should have determined the measure of the ingredients exactly. The conclusion was good. Generally, the intonation in the sentences were good. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteThe first group:3rd video ( Memet Can, Aslı Meryem, and Burcu): I liked the introduction part of their programme. It suits a food programme since it does not start immediately to tell about the meal.They used the measures fort he ingredients precisely. They used some imperative sentences , such as “Pour it”,”Now cook it”.I think we use in 20 degrees instead of at 20 degrees.Burcu and Aslı does the intonation well in some sentences ,such as “it is so fantastic”, “it is very romantic”.While doing the cake, Aslı should have paid more attention to the intonation.Memet Can was also good at doing the intonation while asking question.But, he seemed a bit serious.:)) Thank you

Özlem gives variety.That's to say, she says there is no need.It's better to ...",which is a good point that can be seen in a food programme. They could have used more imperative sentences. The video is a Turkish version, I think, because there is a lot of unnecessary speeches in the video. However, it is good to give some important points and clues about the mail. But, Zehra talked more than the others.Zehra always says "I wantyou to"etc.Instead ,she could have asked questions.using imperatives was a good.ınstead of saying 3 glass of,it ought to be told 3 glasses of. Also, your starting-i men the concept of the video seems like a plagiarism because there is a video shooted by the second year of students last year, and; somehow, it really resembles yours.

For example, Nazlı says 'green onion'. it is wrong. it should be 'fresh onion'. moreover, in your video, there occurs a silence which lasts along 1 min. with only 'tık tık'. i think it is not good. Lastly, Selman pronounced the words in a very good way.

They pronounciation mistakes like the word explain and other small mistakes . There was a pause . However, it is very good video.

There are pronounciation mistakes like tomato and ingredients.Elçin should use the plural from of region.Also, Zehra were like teaching how to make kısır to her guests.She treat them like students but they are guests but generally it is really good video.

1st video : gülhanım and ayşe caught phrases for food programmes really well. And they use it effectively. However derya stays passive. She should have had more parts. There should be equalness.

4th video: Their video is really fun I laughed at Selman while he was chopping the lettuce their pronunciation is good. But theres a point that I got stuck? They should have used more phrases and words that we heard while watching sample videos. Anyway they completed successfuly ! good job!
5th video: firstly I want to say that I really had difficulty in hearig their voice. So I could’t exactly understand if they pronunce the words correctly or not. And They could have used foreign names in order to be more real. It would be better if zehra used the word’ chop’ instead of ‘cut’. And instead of some salt she could use a pinch of salt. And the video is really long. However it is obvious that they prepared well. So Cong.
6 th video: haha their way of presenting the programme is different from the others. And very good one ;) it was fun but we shouldnt forget that the real aim of these videos is to pronounce and use the phrases correctly . at the beginning of the video I surprised. For the god sake they didnt contiue speaking in the way orhan did anyway good job thank u for sharing.
7 th video : I think this video is more like a turkish food programme.orhan isvery acttive but miraç and muhammet almost didnt speak. The video is toooooo long . however their pronunciation is good and their speech is fluent. Thank you for sharing

However, when it comes to the pronunciation of the words, I think as friends are a bit excited, they have mistakes. Also, they can try to be more natural. Besides, there is a silence lasting for about 1 minute and this in fact made me bored. During this time, you could talk about something or about the meal you are preparing. VIDEO 5 = elçin, zehra and emine: The first speaker used some English words such as cup and bulgur;however, while using these words, she pronounced like 'kap' and 'bulgur' in Turkish. She should be more careful. She should not use Turkish pronunciation of these words.Also, she has no emotion while speaking. She could make some intonations according to her speaking. Also, I have difficulty in hearing them and your video is too long. This can cause the audience to feel bored. Nevertheless, you have a good video. Thanks for your struggle:)

The pink kitchen is lovely.
I have some advices for them. First, instead of some salt, you can use “a pinch of salt” because it is a term used while adding salt.
When you give instructions, you say “we put our water, our bulgur etc.” Instead of them, use imperatives like “put the water then bulgur ….etc.”

2. CEYLAN-SEVİL-SELAHATTİN
Your video is good. But to be honest, I didn’t like some parts.
For example, cigarette is NOT good. I wish you didn’t use it.

Miraç is good but his intonation is not good enough.
Video is VERY LONG. Please give attention to rules. The length of video should b between 3-5 minutes.
Also, all of them make some mistakes and use inappropriate terms.
